METHOD OF ENTRY

•  Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions.

•  Entry is open to Australian residents only.   Employees of SBS, Pre-Paid Services and SingTel Optus and their immediate families are ineligible. By entering this competition, entrants will be deemed to agree with these terms of entry.

•  The "SBS Radio New Year Competition" commences on 01/01/06 at 0900 AEST and ends on 22/02/06 at 0900 AEST.

•  To enter, purchase a Pre-Paid Services Anytime, Lucky Dragon or Genie PSS Phone Card and SMS or submit online the words "SBS Radio", and the language you speak (eg: Vietnamese), your PPS Phone Card PIN number, name and contact phone number. SMS entries to 19902727 or go to www.sbs.com.au/radio and submit your entry online. Maximum SMS cost is 55 cents (incl. GST).

•  $2 complimentary calling cards are not eligible to enter this competition.

•  There is no limit to the number of entries per person. However only one entry per Anytime, Lucky Dragon or Genie PPS Phone Card (with unique PIN number) is eligible. Weekly entries which do not win will roll over into the next weekly draw.

PRIZES

•  The Weekly Prizes consist of a credit on the winning PPS calling cards. Each prize is valued at $300 (incl. GST). The total value of all Weekly Prizes is $10, 500 (incl. GST).

•  The Weekly Prize entries will close at 0900 AEST each Wednesday (weekly from Wednesday 25/01/06). The Weekly Prize draws will take place at 1200 AEST each Wednesday (weekly from Wednesday 25/01/06) at 14 Herbert St Artarmon. SBS will randomly select 7 weekly winners - 2 from each of the Cantonese, Mandarin and Vietnamese language groups and 1 weekly winner from all other language groups who have validly entered for that week. Weekly Prize winners will be notified by phone, or by email in the case of online entries. Winners' names will be announced on SBS national radio in the relevant language group program at the dates and times in the table below, and published on the SBS radio website and in The Australian on 03/3/06.

•  Weekly Prize winners agree to participate in publicity for the competition which may include an interview on the relevant language group program on SBS Radio, a public prize presentation or publicity in ethnic and local press.

•  All prizes are as depicted or described in the promotions for the competition and are not subject to change. SBS accepts no responsibility for any loss, damages, or injury incurred in connection with taking up the prizes. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.

FINAL CONDITIONS

•  Where the major prize or any daily prizes remain unclaimed three months after that draw, SBS will conduct such further draws at the same place as the original draw as are necessary in order to distribute any of those prizes subject however to any written directions given under Reg 37 of the Lottery and Gaming Regulations 1993 (SA). In the event of any winners valued at over $100 in the unclaimed prize draw, their names will be published at www.sbs.com.au and in 'The Australian' within 30 days of the redraw of the relevant prize.

•  For SMS entries, the time of entry will in each case be the time the SMS message is received by the SBS database. Entries must be submitted using a mobile phone with a reply path. IVR entries: The time of entry will in each case be the time logged when a user registers their keyword. The SMS entrant is the person named on the telephone account of the mobile number used to send the SMS text message.

•  SBS reserves the right to verify the validity of entries. SBS reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process or for submitting an entry that is not in accordance with these Conditions of Entry.

•  SBS and Pre-Paid Services and their associated agencies will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss or claim that may occur in relation to failure of an SMS entry message to be received by the promoter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion or arising from or related to any problem or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines or mobile communications network related to, or resulting from, participation in this promotion.

•  Entrants must ensure that all care is taken when sending messages or submitting online entries for this competition. It is the entrant's responsibility to ensure that they SMS the correct number. SBS will not be liable for costs incurred, responses received or any other consequences of user error.

•    Any SMS entries submitted outside the competition time & date parameters outlined above, or after the competition period has closed, will not be included in the competition and will be charged 55 cents (including GST).

•  SBS, Pre-Paid Services and SingTel Optus assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alterations of entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, due to causes including, but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of SBS which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, SBS reserves the rights in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition. •  SBS, Pre-Paid Services and SingTel Optus and their associated agencies will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss or claim that may occur in relation to failure of an SMS/online entry message to be received by SBSon account of technical problems or traffic congestion or arising from or related to any problem or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines or mobile communications network related to, or resulting from, participation in this competition.

•  All entries will be the property of SBS. The information entrants provide will be used by SBS for the purpose of conducting this competition. SBS may disclose entrants' personal information to its contractors and agents to assist in conducting this competition or communicating with entrants and to State and Territory lottery departments and winners' names may be published as required under the relevant legislation. SBS is bound by the National Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988. Entrants can request access to the personal information SBS holds about them by contacting SBS Consumer Services on 1800 500 727. SBS's privacy policy is available on the SBS's web site www.sbs.com.au .

•  Pre-Paid Services marketing: Entrants that (a) reply to any subsequent SMS messages sent to them by SBS and choose to "opt-in" by replying YES or (b) tick the box on the online entry form, consent to SBS providing their details to Pre-Paid Services to receive marketing material from Pre-Paid Services in relation to Pre-Paid Services products ONLY.
